And I think it's so cute! Apparently the girl likes it too, as she's actually wearing it, whee! Maybe I should just give up on sewing dresses for her, at least for a while, as she doesn't seem at all interested in wearing them. Maybe I'll stick to tops for a while.
I saw
this top on Flickr, and wanted to make something similar. So I took some measurements (from a very unwilling child) and drew up a simple pattern. As I didn't want to make a direct copy of
sparklecandace's top (not that I even own any doilies that I could use..) I decided to use some polka dot farbic on the top, just for fun. :) I'll definitely be making more of these, and I already know a few improvements that I'll make for the next one.
Oh, and the best thing about the top? It was super-fast and easy to make! What could be better than that? :)
